I can also provide education, activity modification, meditation/mindfulness lessons and self-mobilization techniques. Experience treatment from the comfort of your home.

Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

Pelvic Health treatment focuses on finding solutions for problems dealing with your pelvic floor. Some of these issues include prolapse, urinary incontinence, chronic constipation, diastasis rectus abdominis, prenatal and postnatal concerns and birth prep etc. You can learn more here.

Exercise.

Every patient will receive an exercise program customized to meet their specific injury and/or health goals. An exercise program will be sent by email or printed upon request.

Dry Needling.

Dry Needling is a technique utilizing acupuncture filaments to effectively release muscles and/or reset the muscle in a state of dysfunction by stimulating the nervous system. The technique helps to reduce pain, muscle stiffness and increases blood flow to tissues. A muscle ‘twitch’ response is often felt during this technique.

Spinal Manipulations & Manual Therapy.

Spinal Manipulations help provide a neurophysiological effect which in turn affects muscle tone, aids in joint lubrication and reduces pain etc.

Taping.

Kinesio-taping is used as a proprioception technique to cue muscle and joint awareness in conjunction with an active exercise program.

Athletic taping is used to help provide temporary support to unstable joints and acute injuries.

Cupping.

Cupping is used to increase local blood circulation and decrease myofascial tension.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM).

Much like cupping, IASTM uses a specialized metal tool to increase local blood circulation and decrease myofascial tension.

Guided Meditation/ Clinical Hypnosis.

Clinical Hypnosis/Meditation increases our alpha brainwaves associated with creativity, alertness and relaxation.

The latest research demonstrates that Clinical Hypnosis/Meditation can help with:

  • Stress

  • Anxiety/Depression

  • Pain Management

  • Fatigue Management

  • Sleep Improvement

All the above tend to be barriers to living a healthy and active lifestyle. Combined with exercises and manual therapy Clinical Hypnosis/Meditation is an excellent self-management tool to help you achieve your therapy goals.
